THE CAT
The cat is a very popular pet animal.
It is found all over the world.
It is very beautiful to look at.
It is of many kinds and colours.
It looks like a tiger.
It has a small body and four small legs.
Its eyes shine like a torch.
So it can see in the dark.
It has very soft paws.
So it walks without any noise.
Its nails are hidden in its paws.
It drinks milk and eats meat or fish.
It hunts birds and small animals.
However, it likes to eat rat much more.
THE DOG
The dog is a faithful animal.
It is found all over the world.
It is of many kinds and colours.
It has four legs. It has two eyes.
It has two cars. It has a long curved tail. It eats meat and bread.
Bone is its favourite dish.
Some dogs are wandering and some are pet.
A pet dog guards the house in which it lives.
It loves and obeys its master.
It risks its own life to defend him.
It can run very fast.
It barks at the beggars and the strangers.
Some dogs bite.
Domestic dogs are sometimes very useful.
THE ELEPHANT
The elephant is the most bulky creature on our land.
It is friendly to the human being children like it the most and enjoy its company.
It has a long nose known as trunk. It has two long sharp.
which are called tusks.
It lives in thick forests of Sri Lanka and Nepal.
It can however, be tamed and kept in the zoo.
I once visited the Lahore Zoo and had a wonderful riding on an elephant.
The average life of the elephant is about 70 years.
It sleeps only two hours in a day.
The Cow
The cow is a pet animal.
It is found all over the world.
It has many colours.
It has two horns, four legs, and four teats.
It has a long tail.
It eats grass and gives milk.
Its milk is very useful for us.
We get curd, butter and ghee from its milk.
The Muslims eat its meat.
I like it very much.
